Concert for Kids Denver Day of Rock (Free!)
May 26, 2012 - May 26, 2012 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM
This Saturday, the 26th of May, Concerts for Kids will hold their annual, free and family-friendly Denver Day of Rock. An amalgam of local bands will play on various outdoor stages around the 16th Street Mall area, starting in the afternoon, along with renowned national acts like Colorado’s own, the Samples. Things heat up as night progresses when Toad the Wet Sprocket known for their slew of radio hits throughout the ‘90s performs, along with the legendary Toto. Who hasn’t sung Toto’s massive hit “Africa” or “Rosanna” while perfecting their vocal skills in the shower or in the car on the way to work?
There will be vendor booths on site, many selling libations and food items. Be sure to look for other attractions that are of interest for the young and young at heart. The event isn’t just limited to music!
This year, cans of non-perishable goods will be collected and will go to benefit Food Bank of the Rockies. There will be several bins throughout the area where you can deposit canned donations.
Please come on out, bring the family, support Concert for Kids as they assist Food Bank of the Rockies. Concerts for Kids is a great local non-profit that raises money for over 50 child-focused health and education organizations annually through fund-raising events and community service projects and Waste Connections of Colorado is proud to be a part of the work they accomplish.
